MORE THAN JUST A FREGIE...some suggestions for alternative uses out of doors
AROUND THE HOUSE

THE BEACH - They make a great carrier for the kids toys, buckets and spades. The net allows the sand to fall through and it keeps them all together making it much easier to carry back to the car.

Have you found another great way to
use your Fregie Sack?

Let us know so we can share it around

PICNICS - Very handy for putting around salads (just put the bowl in the bag) or over fruit to keep flies and wasps away. One lady has even used it as a fly net in an emergency…if you’re not fashion conscious just pop it over your head and keep the flies out of your face; just the thing for days in the country!

THE GARDEN – Use to dry home grown veg like garlic, onions and herbs. Easy to hang from the ceiling! Or use to hold seedheads until fully dry and seeds fall into the bottom of the sack.
PEST CONTROL - A few clients have told us how great they are for putting over your ripening fruit to keep the birds, insects or possums away..
WOOL PROCESSING FOR SPINNING & FELTING - Great for processing raw fleeces for hand spinning and felting. Lay wool flat in single layer close the drawstring and proceed with your method of scouring. Note: Use light coloured bags and/or test colours before using in hot water to ensure no bleeding of colour!
MAKING LIQUID FERTILISER - Use as a large tea bag to make your own liquid fertilizer. Put horse/sheep/chicken dung or weeds/garden waste in the bag and suspend in water to soak for a few days. Pull out and throw away what’s left in the bag, the liquid is a great nitrogen rich fertilizer. NOTE: We don’t recommend you use the same bags for buying or storing your fruit and veg!
METAL DETECTING - We're told by professionals they're great as a gear sack for small pieces of equipment while prospecting for gold with a metal detector.

WILDLIFE CARERS- A customer keeps them in her car and has at times used them as emergency transport pouches for baby possums and various injured birds.

FESTIVAL CIRCUIT/STALL HOLDERS - A friend in the massage trade says she couldn't get by without them when setting up her stall. She uses them to carry all her loose bits - oils, gloves, tissues etc.
