| New Fregie News: Zero Waste Week Challenge: For residents of Moreland Council in Victoria, The Zero Waste for a Week Challenge is coming up. They are starting registrations in September and the first 200 to register will receive a pack to help you including a set of Fregie Sacks. We are going to take the challenge too and see if we can put absolutely nothing into our waste bin for a week. Are you up for it? Check out their website for more information www.moreland.vic.gov.au Vic Market Sales: The Fregies were very well received at the Expo in the organic section with traders giving away freebies during the week and customers continuing to use them. We'd like to thank all our customers for using the Fregies and inadvertantly helping to spread the word. They are also available for sale at the Vic Market office - just around the corner at 513 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne and they're selling them for cost price to help reduce the amount of plastic used at the market, so be quick! The Fregie Sack for Grains: We are making our prototype of a sack for grains, those bulk foods too small or powdery for the Fregie Sack. Things like oats, cous cous, flour, rice. They have been developed in association with CERES who are trying to be completely paper bag free as well as plastic bag free and we'll be rolling them out in the next few weeks. Keep an eye out for them on the website when they're ready to go. |

The TwoGirls 3R Shopping Bag: An idea we've just got started with and are trying out so have a look at our new sales page. With two handles for comfortable carrying they fit a similar amount to a green bag and with your Fregies give you a complete shopping package. Check them out today! Thanks to Liddy Dolman of Ecolateral, Adelaide for use of her homeshow image, flag image 4 International Flags For a new online eco friendly journal we'd like to thank Green Times for listing TwoGirls and the Fregie Sack under it's storage section in the directory. About our Kiva Loan: Our initial loan to the Bolivian's Women's collective has been repaid and this time we have loaned money to Natalia Gangan in the Phillipines who runs a canteen for a local school. The loan will allow them to purchase additional products to sell. We are inspired by the fact that we are directly contributing to their loan and over time it will be paid back which will enable us to invest again in making someone else's business idea come true. If you like the direct nature of it, click on the link and invest yourself. As our business grows we hope to help more people realize their dreams. |
