Heat Packs

Indulge in a little self care by taking the time to relax with your heat pack . The heat from the lupins soothes and relaxes while you rest.  Heat Packs are a lovely way to keep warm when its chilly outside or cool when its hot.

MATERIALS:

Made from hand dyed 100% Cotton Batik using sustainable eco dyes.   

Filled with Australian grown Lupins (our Supplier is in Pakenham- Vic) which are:

  • Odour free
  • Don't sweat when heated
  • 30% lighter than wheat
  • Chemical free

Lupins are lightweight, hold their heat and are odour free - no need to overheat them just slowly increase the heat to suit your needs.   

The lupins hold their temperature for a longer time than other grains. Our packs can be use Heated or Cooled depending on your need.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

Do not wash - ok to sponge with damp cloth and dry in open air

HEATING INSTRUCTIONS:

Lay the heat pack flat onto the centre of microwave turntable and heat for 60 seconds then reheat in 30 second batches until you know the heat that works for you.

For larger heat packs - curl them around a bit keeping a hole in the centre.

Remove from microwave and shake around to disperse the heat evenly. Product will be hot take care whilst handling.

Always monitor bag when heated. Do not overheat!

Do not leave unattended when microwaving.

Check the temperature if it is comfortable before use and avoid direct contact with skin.

Allow the lupin bag to cool before reheating.

Leave the heat pack to cool on a non-combustible surface after use.

USE AS A COOL PACK:

Put in an air tight bag  such as a ziplock one or wrap well in a tea towel and freeze for 5 or so hours, overnight is recommended.

Use your cool bag for bruises, swellings, strains and headaches.

IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNINGS :

Use with caution heat packs can burn skin when used incorrectly and more delicate skins of older people or children especially when using on the face area.

Microwave only. Do not use gas or electric oven.

It's not recommended to add oils to the pack as they may increase risk of fire.
